Abbey Moor Golf Club, established in 1991, has a 9 hole pay and play course played as 18 holes. It is affiliated to the Surrey County Golf Union and the LGU. Members can enjoy the challenge of over 40 competitions every year.

M25 jct 11. Go towards Weybridge. Right at roundabout towards Addlestone (A318). Over bridge; 2nd turn small roundabout into Green Lane. Abbey Moor is 1/2 mile on right.

| David Walker designed parkland course built in low lying meadowland with excellent drainage. The course presents a challenge for the novice and seasoned golfer alike. A slightly mishit tee shot will not land the player in a position from where a par is unachievable, but a clever layout and strategically placed hazards make the course surprisingly difficult for the low handicapper looking for birdies. A good 9-hole course, which plays as 18. Excellent condition all year round, no temporary greens or tee's, greens are always top. If you can drive 300 plus yards 2 or 3 of the greens can be made, miss the fairway's which are tight, you will struggle to make par. Geese are no longer an issue. A good course for improver's and low handicapper's. Good value and a friendly down to earth clubhouse.

This is a very pleasant little 9 holer, and worth the green fee which is not too steep. Compliments to the greenkeepers because the greens are nice and fast usually, and the fairways are mowed in different patterns quite often. I only wish it was a little longer, because apart from the last hole (par 5) its just a wood and a short iron all the way round. I think they should move the tees back about thirty yards or so on a few of the holes. On the subject of goose droppings, I had the misfortune of being an aerial target to a goose here a few weeks ago. But it must be true what they say about that being good luck, because on that very hole I sank a ten footer for birdie!!!

Abbey Moor is the best pay and play course in this area by far. It's fairways and greens are immaculate whatever the weather. I played here last summer when the ground was baking hot and the greens were luscious - likewise last week, despite recent heavy rain, the course was dry and firm. The course is ideal for a beginner like myself - the par fours are short but interesting and the three par threes offer a great challenge with excellent greens.
My only gripe is that play can be very slow (2 hours 15 minutes for 9 holes is not unusual!) - maybe the intervals between tee times could be widened?

Abbey Moor is a pleasant, if a little short, 9-hole course right next to Junction 11 of the M25. It is not too difficult and has a couple of interesting holes, a par three under a mass of electricity pylons, and a par four which has the biggest collection of goose droppings you can imagine ! Both the opening par fours are driveable and the par of 66
will not challenge your handicap too much.

Abbey Moor has come on leaps and bounds since 1999! Club members compete in a variety of domestic, Surrey and National competitions, off the white tees the course is extremely competitive challenging all levels of golfers.
It's probably one of the best kept golf courses in Surrey. Well worth a visit!
