Just back from one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have had in my 30+ years playing the game. My partner and I didnt exactly burn up the course but both of us agreed that the course and its surroundings were a joy to behold. The views of the Ochil Hills are breathtaking and if for nothing other than seeing Scotland at it's very best I highly recommend you give Alloa your consideration. At £14 on a greenfee saver, friendly professional shop & catering staff you cant go wrong.

I recently played the course with 3 other visitors. The winter greens were holes in the middle of muddy fairways. The changing facilities are dreadful. There was no catering.
For this privilege we paid £68 (£17 each).
    We will not be back!

What a lovely course this is to play and made to feel very much at home by the members and staff in the shop. Nothing too much trouble. Condition of the green was excellent and think it was just after the club championships. Lovely scenery and nice and peaceful.

Move the 12th tee as far back as the road goes. Thank-you, the Turnbulls.

Shawpark Golf Course is an excellent test of golf.
5 par fours over 420 yards ensure that this is no easy ride however the view of the Ochil hills will soon lift your spirits up. The fairways are wide enough to give you a chance of scoring well however it often proves difficult to do so. The greens are a decent size but they have suffered this year from a lot of rain.
The clubhouse is welcoming and the patrons friendly. Overall - a very good course that is definitely worth a visit.
