  • Great day out

Played Alloa Golf Course (Schawpark)last week with friends; non of us are members!
The fairways and greens for the time of year are in very good condition. The course has lovely views and the layout is a joy to play with testing par 3s and a challenging return to the 19th for a meal and drink. Highly recommended for all levels of golfers. I understand that the caterers are a recent addition to the clubhouse facilities and we can give them our seal of approval. Thanks for a great day out at AGC. William

Many thanks for your positive review of Alloa Golf Club (Schawpark). We are very pleased with the hard work our young team of Greenstaff have put in to improve the condition of the course. We hope you will consider returning to play golf at 'Schawpark' in the near future.

My son and I enjoyed our game of golf at Schawpark, the course was in excellent condition, it was interesting and challenging. If I had a small gripe it was the second shot to the 16th green, it was particularly difficult as trees on the right hand side of the fairway made it difficult to go for the green unless your tee shot was placed well to the left of the centre of the fairway. That aside Schawpark is an excellent course and well worth a visit

Just back from one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have had in my 30+ years playing the game. My partner and I didnt exactly burn up the course but both of us agreed that the course and its surroundings were a joy to behold. The views of the Ochil Hills are breathtaking and if for nothing other than seeing Scotland at it's very best I highly recommend you give Alloa your consideration. At £14 on a greenfee saver, friendly professional shop & catering staff you cant go wrong.

I recently played the course with 3 other visitors. The winter greens were holes in the middle of muddy fairways. The changing facilities are dreadful. There was no catering.
For this privilege we paid £68 (£17 each).
    We will not be back!

What a lovely course this is to play and made to feel very much at home by the members and staff in the shop. Nothing too much trouble. Condition of the green was excellent and think it was just after the club championships. Lovely scenery and nice and peaceful.

Move the 12th tee as far back as the road goes. Thank-you, the Turnbulls.

Shawpark Golf Course is an excellent test of golf.
5 par fours over 420 yards ensure that this is no easy ride however the view of the Ochil hills will soon lift your spirits up. The fairways are wide enough to give you a chance of scoring well however it often proves difficult to do so. The greens are a decent size but they have suffered this year from a lot of rain.
The clubhouse is welcoming and the patrons friendly. Overall - a very good course that is definitely worth a visit.
