Alness Golf Club is located on the shores of the picturesque Cromarty Firth and is only a 20-mile drive north of Inverness International Airport. The Alness golf course has been around since 1904 and has undergone some significant changes in the last 100 years. The most significant was the 1997 extension from nine to 18 holes. At 4976 yards, the golf course accommodates a range of skill levels. Every golfer will love No. 14, arguably the most beautiful hole on Alness. Its two fairway and two green bunkers also means Alness is a tough test of golf. For an appreciation and independent view of this course please see golfer reviews. |

This is a cracking little course that is now an 18 hole having been upgraded recently. The fairways can be tight and the greens fast but a more enjoyable experience will be hard to find. My handicap was 16 a lifetime ago but I'm coming back into the wonderful game now.
