Although short this is a tricky little course that is generally well kept. Four of us have been travelling to Alvaston Hall for a weekends Golfing (and drinking) pleasure for the last seven years. We always begin our stay, with nine holes on the hotel course (after a couple of settling in pints.
It is a very tight course that criss-crosses its way up hill and down dale.
The greens are usually in good order, the fairways are average, and the out
of bounds plentiful. There is a little water, and a couple of 'blind' holes.
Alvaston Hall also has a nice driving range and practice putting green.
