The 188yd 16th par 3 is an easy hole in one.
There are now 3 9-hole courses and 1 18 hole course. the 3 9 holes, replace the old Ashbury course and are named Pines, willows and beeches. A round consists of any 2 of the 3 courses. The new layouts are testing and demand straight hitting, although they are not long courses. A point to note is that the start and finish holes are a long way from the clubhouse now - a buggy is strongly advisable.
The Oakwood course is improved by two ingenious new holes - a par 4 and a par 5, and is more open than the wooded Ashbury course - an off line ball is usually still playable from an adjoining fairway.
All these courses are mainly par 4's and 3's - only a few par 5's.
All in all, enjoyable holiday golf for all standards, with excellent value catering, accommodation at the Manor House and Ashbury complexes.

This review is well out of date, although the comments are still relevant. Our society has been visiting the Ashbury complex for the last 10 years and we have always had a fabulous time. The courses are constantly being added to and improved and there are now 3 18 hole courses and a par3. The condition of the courses considering the amount of wear they get is superb and a testament to the greenkeeping staff. The facilities are brilliant and the catering extremely good indeed.
Well worth a visit and a stay. Exceptional value.
