I played as a guest of a member on the Friday of The Open weekend. The fairways are truly magnificent; some are more like greens. They are springy underfoot and are mown in 'stripes'. Greenkeepers deserve great praise. Nice course, undemanding but nevertheless a pleasure to play. Clubhouse excellent.
A little difficult to locate down a winding lane.

I have played this course as a guest of member Jack Thorpe on several occasions whilst on vacation in the Preston area. It is a very well laid out course, a nice variety of holes makes this course a good challenge for the average hacker that I am. Of particular interest on this course is the ancient Roman road that meanders through this area. The course has a fine club house too and I have always felt very welcome.
