There have been some wonderful enhancements to the course over the last 12 months and the clubhouse, opened in June 2003 is a tribute to the members.
Having enjoyed your round of golf there, I strongly recommend the catering - the best I have tasted in any golf club in the country.

Mr. Denis O'Donovan and I met in Rocky Point, Mexico in April of 2000. When I mentioned I would be visiting Ireland in June, Denis immediately invited me to play his golf course with him in Athy. Denis and I eventually met and what a treat I had in store for me. I got to Athy late one evening and was driven to Denis' house by Margaret, the bartender at a local Pub. Denis' course was hosting a charity golf event that day and after a few pleasantries, Denis suggested we drive out to the club and meet his friends and see the 'Presentations', the awards ceremony. Well, one thing led to another and after several Guinness, a good cigar and meeting many of Denis' golf buddies, we decided to call it a night. About 1:30 AM, Denis called a good friend and arranged lodging at her nifty Bed and Breakfast. I mention all of this, as Denis is truly a wonderful gentleman who went out of his way to welcome me to his friendly, fun club.... who know how to have a good time...thanks, Denis!!

I have played this course many times it is a little gem. The course is fairly flatish but the greens are like snooker tables and so fast. The 18 hole is a little gem a dog leg right but there is a stream in front of the tee keep your head down or you will go in it. The clubhouse is lovely and the staff are first class. Well worth a visit.
