Although a local of the area I've only recently joined the Club towards the end of 2001. I've enjoyed the course tremendously since I've joined for its magnificent location and the challenge it provides to both the experienced Golfers and the recent enthusiast like myself. I've recently walked the additional 9 holes that are currently under development with a planned opening of late Summer 2002. These holes will provide an 18-hole course that any golfer would be proud to call their Club with a new challenge and magnificent views throughout Wicklow.
Lastly I just want to say that I've been made feel very welcome by the Club members and the Committee, which to a high handicapper is a great feeling as you stand on the tee-box to take the dreaded 'First Shot'

I've played Baltinglass several times and when I compare it to any other 9 hole golf course it is magnificent. They are opening their new 18 holes in 2002, so it will be very tough. The club atmosphere is very friendly and the staff and course management are excellent . If you ever get a chance to play it, do, you will be amazed by the greens, they are like lightning.
