I played this wonderful course at least once a week for two years while on exchange to the British Army Educational Corps Centre in Beaconsfield, Bucks from 1986 to 1988. The locker room was spartan but the food, drink, and golf course were marvellous. Each hole is its own experience requiring the good golfer to move the ball in order to score. It's a fair golf course with generous fairways, few fairway sand bunkers, and reachable par fives. If you want a true British golfing experience, play Beaconsfield.

I have been introduced to this course by my friends and have fallen in love with it, it is in superb condition even through the winter period. I have decided to try and join the club moving from Hazlemere, I find that it is an easy course for someone my age to be able to reduce their handicap. I have used the driving range and other practising facilities almost every time I have played there.
I would recommend this golf course to any youngster who wants to play a challenging and enjoyable course with a great place to practice and also a fantastic place to reduce their handicaps.
I'd also like to say that the clubhouse has exceptional food and it has a TV room where the juniors and adults can relax. I can't wait to see if I get through the selection process so I can play on the course through out the summer.

This course was the first I played on a 2-weeks trip round GB. I found it the most wonderful and distinguished I played the entire holiday (and I played St. Andrews too!). All fairways are like the greens at home and the greens are just perfect with very challenging slopes. It also was the only course where I was sent back to the hotel because they didn't allow jeans on the course! The green fees are enormous, but the course is well worth the money. The sight looking back while walking down the first fairway is tremendous. It has no driving range which I find unacceptable for such a fine course. All-in-all it's a course I really can recommend.

I have been playing the course for more than 20 years and it has been gradually improved during that time. There is a driving range now (tokens at the pro-shop) and a practice net at the bottom of the visitor's car park, if you want to take a few swings before driving off and you either don't have time or can't be bothered to walk to the practice ground.
Bunkers have been improved during 1997 and there is talk about a fairway sprinkling system which should be a great improvement as the last few summers have left the course very dry indeed. Excellent club house with friendly staff (and members).
