a fine golf course, easily up there with the others in the county such as royal st. georges and royal cinque ports. well worth playing, and fine value for money. just watch out for graham "big ears" turner, and his family of incests.

I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my life. Both Royal Cinque Ports and Royal St George's are widely accepted to be in the top 50 courses in the UK. Bearsted is not. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed it, but please make sensible comparisons.

Bearsted golf club is a delightfully picturesque course with great views of Kent's North downs. Its one of very few courses which begin and end with Par 3 holes, and has existed for over 100 years. The front 9 is long, particularly the Par 4 - 3rd, and relatively flat whereas the back 9 offers a shorter but more undulating challenge. However the whole course seems to play longer than the 6253yrds would suggest. The 11th hole is especially good with an elevated tee and tough choice weather to lay up infront of a stone bridged stream or to 'have a go!', the 'shall I shan't I' question rears it's head all to often at Bearsted! The greens all run very true but, despite the recent rain, are quite firm. The course is beautifully maintained with not a divot or a pitch mark in sight. The clubhouse is very well appointed offering excellent value meals of all kinds. The usual dress codes apply both on the course and in the clubhouse as with all courses of this quality. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable course which I wouldn't hesitate in recommending to golfers of any standard.

Last week we played this course. We where with a group of 6 from Holland. Our handicaps are from 21 up till 33 and we all enjoyed it very much. Although the course is stuff for a high handicapper you can have a great day. The people on the course and in the clubhouse are very kind. If you travel to Kent to play a round of golf you must visit Bearsted!
