Beuchief is a great golf course, with friendly staff willing to help. The course provides many hours of good entertainment for all standards from beginners to professionals. The course is well laid out, with a variety of different challenges from getting over streams and lakes to keeping your ball on the fairway and in-bounds. The par of the course is only 67 yet don't think that makes the course easy as many people struggle to get a good score. The course only has 1 par 5, but do not be put off because there are many very long par four's. There are also many tricky par threes with little space to land the ball onto the green. After good days golf, you can relax and put your feet up while having a beer or something to eat.

This is a very nice course with good scenery but avoid it when its rained because it gets VERY boggy! The facilities are old but reasonable. A very nice but small pro shop. Only problem is that there is only one par5. A tough first hole with a drive uphill to narrow fairway and a couple of tough par3's holes 9 and 10, a 230yard uphill to the green hole and a 150yard over a lake to an elevated green. Also in wet conditions there is a lot of temporary greens so putting is especially difficult on very uneven surfaces. But overall a very nice course and a very enjoyable day out. I am looking forward to returning to the course later in the year when it has dried out.

The course starts well with an uphill drive frighten everybody except Chris Bonnington. The first four holes are interesting, if even for just trying to keep your ball on one of Sheffields seven hills. Then it flattens out with little more than a stream to keep up the interest, then just as you start to wish you had gone elsewhere the 10th, a very difficult par 3 over a lake and then the hill is back in play and the course becomes more challenging. With especially the 16th and 18th an interesting run in. Note can be very waterlogged. The facilities are minimal but none the worst for that.
