I have played here before with my mas reece and julien and we all shot 75. We ar only 10 but we smoke our driversover 300 yards. We all drove the greens on th 12th and the 2nd oh yh and the 6th which is very difficult to do and we are the only 3 t have ever done it.

I think benton hall is one of the best golf courses. It is a hard golf course and that will challenage any one. I like the 11 hole because you can hit the ball a long and then have got to chip it onto the green. I enjoy this course and would play their any time.

Having only once played the course on a windy monday afternoon in October, I feel I can say it is a great test of any golfer. It has been well planned and makes excellent use of the trees and the natural water features to which there are hazards on most on the back nine. The tees are in excellent condition and the atmosphere around the club in very freindly. It also features a driving range and a excellent area for putting and bunker practice As well as some long and testing holes, the lie of the land also means the wind can blow and affect the way the course plays - especially the 17th a reasonably long and challenging par 3 over water! Picking the best holes is not easy as a few contend - but the 4th, 8th and the 16th are excellent holes with water coming into play on one. Its one of the best golf courses I have played in Essex and I would recommend it to any one.

Having played the course a dozen times, I feel I can say it is a good test of golf! Although the course is still young, it has been well planned and makes excellent use of the mature trees and the natural water features.

The course is built on Essex clay and can therefore dry out in Summer and get a little too boggy in Winter.

This is part of the Clubhouse group and the facilities are excellent. The course is a tough examination for players of all standards and water is a frequent hazard. The greens can be deceptively quick and not east to read. The first nine holes are easier - but that's only relative. The back nine can test your stamina as well as skill. Some of the climbs can take their toll and a potentially good score can be ruin over the last five holes. Ideal for the corporate clients but it could be a hard day out for someone who
    prefers level ground!

Great course to play. Strongly recommend you give this course a go if your in the area. The course is reasonably testing with a good variety of holes.

Very enjoyable course, with several natural water hazards it can make you round very testing. I will certainly be returning to Benton Hall and would recommend the course to anyone staying in the area.

Built into hillside woodland, an attractive course which uses the natural terrain, river and other water hazards to good effect, although most greens are quite flat and lack any serious contours. Very well maintained. Good variety of hole lengths and layouts, and although quite a young course feels very established.
Very friendly and welcoming environment, facilities include large open clubhouse with bar, lakeside terrace and restaurant, pro-shop, driving range and par 3 course.
