I've played this wonderful links on 2 occasions - November & April. Both times the course was in great nick. Great greens. Layout traditonal. Highly recommended.

We played Goswick on a superb Indian-summer day, slight breeze and burning sun, late September! First a 18 hole stroke-play but after a fast sandwich (C -, for the spartan kitchen) we just had to go out for a match, even though the legs didn't co-operate any longer. Superb course, why can't it be my home course (Aura Golf Club, Finland)? Would like the challenge of playing it in windy conditions. A few holes to remember for life: the 12th, a peculiar par-4 with a blind approach. Realised after the second round just how lucky we were to make a birdie the first round! A difficult, demanding and short (!) par-3, #15. Great course, just have to get back to Berwick-upon-Tweed!

Played the course in September 1997, it was in superb condition. It is a good test of golf, quite lengthy, I would recommend it. On the down side, we had travelled over 200 miles and were not told it was ladies day. Catering facilities non existent. This is a shame and spoils a superb facility.
