Bigbury has superb views of bigbury bay, burgh island and the river estuary. The course has many intersting holes. The first is a superb opening hole, a 456 yd. par4, a good drive is needed to have a chance of reaching in 2. There is trees down the right Bigbury has superb views of bigbury bay, burgh island and the river estuary. The course has many intersting holes. The first is a superb opening hole, a 456 yd. par4, a good drive is needed to have a chance of reaching in 2. There is trees down the right with a road (OB) on the left. Other interesting holes are the 7th, a par 3 witha green dug out of the hillside, protected by bunkers and a sloping green. The ninth & eleventh are tough par fives when the usual south-westerly's are blowing straight into your face. The club has a nice clubhouse with good facilities and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The courses only real defence is the wind, but when its blowing Bigbury becomes a lot harder than it looks.
