Good solid course. Parkland with blind opening hole and followed by short par-4 on second. Friendly clubhouse. Good society rates especially in winter months.

Situated on the A6 between Loughborough and Leicester, Birstall is an excellent day out. The course was in nice condition and proved to be fun at every turn. After hitting a duck hook onto the railway line on the first (not my best start) the course opened up and was an absolute joy. Tree lined fairways thoughtful bunkering and changing topography made for an enjoyable challenge. The greens here were pretty good and of a fair pace. I can't say one particular hole stood out for me but that's because all of them were a challenge.
The clubhouse and food were acceptable if a little limited. Try Birstall you'll certainly enjoy the golf. Course 6/10 Clubhouse/Food 4/10
