I play Blaby every Saturday morning, bright and early at 8am, and i must say it's one of the best in the area. The prices are excllent and the friendly staff are always happy to help. A lot of work clearly goes into maintaining high standards at the course, and great effort and care is always taken to ensure the holes are kept in ship-shape condition. The greens are immaculate, and the holes play brilliantly. The hazards challenge even the most experienced of golfers, and i lose balls regularly in the ponds and ditches. All in all a quality place to go and play, a great atmosphere, and a 5* standard.

I have recently played at Blaby golf course. The greens are atrocious with more clover in them than actual grass. Bunkers are not raked. The quality of balls on the range are very poor. To top it off the yardages are all out on all of the holes. I managed to drive the 480 Yard par 4. Its more like 300 Yards. You would be better playing down your local park.

i work at blaby and have done for two years.. the course is getting better week in week out and the driving range is now a pitch and putt course and we have a crazy golf opening.. it is a course for beginners but even tests some goopd quality players who struggle with the hazards

I find this a good test of golf with a good mix of holes, although I play regularly I still manage to loose plenty of balls in the many hazards. The driving range is not quite long enough for a big hitter like myself, a very friendly club with lots of opportunity to play with golfers of a similar standard to myself.

Until recently am reliably informed, this course had ASTRO-TURF greens. However when we played here(29/12/98) the greens were possibly the best feature. The weather had been awful for days, non-stop rain & strong winds, consequently the other local courses were closed and Blaby was taking a real hammering. The paths and areas around tees were almost all mud. The wind was howling, and the sun none existent. But I actually enjoyed it, even all the hidden little ponds that claimed two balls in quick succession. With care and a rest, and a few more trees Blaby could be a nice little course. The green fee was reasonable value for money. (9 Holes).
