This course has a blend of character with the rolling hills and the low land section of the second nine.
The first nine are short but tight. Anyone believing that this course is there for the taking will be very much mistaken, particularly going out.
The par 3, 5th hole rises up from a tree surrounded tee, part way up a hill to a long oblique but narrow green, protected at the front by bunkers. A carry of 190 yards up hill....it's not easy.
All par 5 ( 3 in all) are most interesting with a blend of inviting approach shots and distance, the 10th being my favourite. At 490 yards, downhill, you tee through trees to a generous fairway and feel you should reach in two. However a well bunkered green protected by a creek makes your decision all the more interesting.
The most challenging hole is the 17th which rises up hill 240 yards, then falls downhill 170 yards to a small green. it's a whopper and save a shot for this one.
I enjoyed it, I'm sure you will.
    PS the food is great.
