One of the two oldest clubs in Hertfordshire, Boxmoor is a 9-hole course set on extremely hilly terrain. It has remained largely unaltered throughout its history, and provides a fine test of accuracy and shotmaking from awkwardly sloping lies. It boasts allegedly the only par 3 over 100 years old never to have been holed in one (the 3rd), and until 1995 no amateur or professional had ever broken par in competition play.
