I am a member at Braehead and find it an extremely friendly course.
The course is long and can be very testing. The inward nine is far more difficult than the first 9; players nearly always have a couple of shots more on the inward nine. The 10th is a very long par 4 and if you can reach the green in two you are a good player. Putting is difficult on this hole too. I am always happy if I get a five. Beautiful scenery when you get out to the back of the course. The clubhouse is pretty new and always friendly and food is good. The usual shower etc are well maintained. Course dries really well, but in winter no shots are allowed of the fairway and it is basically a par three course. This allows the fairways to be fantastic in the summer. One of the best courses in the area.
