Beautiful as the course is, I find it odd that the simple, wide, straight fairways turn into horrendous dog-legs and the dog-leg is so easy to hit a straight drive at. Or is it just me.

A varied and occasionally beautiful course let down by its lack of a par 5. Aside from the typical parallel holes there are a couple of tense par 3s over water, a 90 degree dog leg par 4 and a picturesque green bordered by trees, duck pond and church. The course ends with an exhausting climb up to the final green (particularly tough for an unfit overweight bloke like me).

An excellent course for above 18 handicappers. Wide fairways and generous greens help to keep those wayward drives retrievable. Some watery holes but overall a fun place to play. The bar serves an excellent breakfast.
