I've played this fine links about a thousand times and I enjoy it more every time I play it. With a tough start, a few tricky holes around the turn and an excellent finish for matchplay it makes for one of the most enjoyable rounds of golf in the North West. It was once noted for its fantastic views my Peter Allis whilst he commentated during the 98 Open.
