- April was very wet and I expect that the course was being protected. Indeed considering the amount of rain last year- I believe that the course was not closed very much.

-This is blatently rude and I think that you will find that most people who play there are not from the village of Toft . Toft is a rather dynamic little place for its 500 or so souls, with very many extremely well traveled, cosmopolitan and interesting people. By implication you suggest that that if you do not live in a village then you must be arrogant.. Somehow, I don't think that this can be true either.....

Attention to detail around the course is excellent with the first hole starting the trend for the rest of the course. It is suited to all levels probably leaning towards those of a lower handicap as it tests skills in all areas of the game regularly and requires high levels of care on many holes.
The course is masterfully designed with bunkers that resemble small beaches scattered around the target areas of most tees and greens making approach play very testing. In many areas the course is set in matured woodland making it a highly picturesque setting for a weekend round. There is a sign next to the first tee saying 'please repair pitch marks..... why spoil the best greens in the county' although this is quite a bold statement in my opinion it is highly justified as these are easily the courses best feature simply because they are good on every hole and exquisite on more than half. Along with these come manicured fairways and tees and, a wide variety in
hole design plus a brand new club house which all add up to make a stunning course which is probably the best public golf club in the area.
