Played the Course a few times this year and enjoyed every round despite my mixed scores. A Course split into 3 zones. Those closest to Stafford Road are the poorest of the 3, the other 2 are more challenging and attractive to navigate. Found the trees & shrub lined gulleys that cross the course more of a hazard than the bunkers. Holes 7, 15 and 18 are my faves, & I hate hole 3 simply due to the tiered green. If the pin setting is on lowest tier, trying to put down to it is a nightmare. The holes play longer than yardage and your choice of driving long to greens or laying up in front of hazards makes play tough. The Course needs a couple of par 5;s to mix the round a little more. Good value for money with nicely presented greens

I decided to play Cannock Park just to get a bit of practice but, surprisingly, found it to be a really enjoyable experience. A short(ish) course but it has some extremely enjoyable holes with a mix of dog-legs, two-tier greens, attractive holes, blind tee-shots. Big isn't always beautiful and this course proves that and is a par 66/67 course with different challenges other than hitting the ball huge distances. The 15th is particularly attractive and I shall be playing it again very soon

Having lived in Cannock for over a year as a publican I can confirm that Cannock Park Golf course is excellent for the novice or medium standard player: not too stretching for the lower handicapper but excellent all the same. Well maintained for a municipal course with a very well stocked shop and helpful staff, super putting green and shower facilities are good: why not combine your golf with a swim or sauna at the adjacent leisure centre.
I have played this course in all weathers at all times of the day: a fee 'representing real value' for money makes is very welcome for a course of good standard withn some delightful holes: the third is a tricky long drive over the ditch with a raised two tier green, and then the dainty 7th hole parallel to the cannock chase woods looks easy but do you lob a six iron down or bump and run it in..you decide when you visit this pretty little oasis on the edge of the town.
I have now moved to Stone and have a golf society at my new public house; we will most definitely be visiting Cannock course this coming summer; may see you there( watch out for the kids nicking your ball on the blind pin of the 9th!)

A shortish but always testing course. Cannock Park is good value for money, let down a little by lack of par 5's and too many par 3's.That said, the greens are very tricky and usually in good condition. There are some outstanding holes, the 1st, a dog-leg right with a large tree slap in the middle of your 2nd shot. The 15th, for all but the biggest hitters should be played as a par 5.A tee shot around or over two lines of trees and a ditch, a second shot down hill and over a second ditch complete with stream to a largish green. The 18th a par three surrounded by large trees and a stream all stand out.

Cannock Park is a 5,000 yard course designed to get novices around without too much frustration. There are however challenges for more experienced players; the course is surrounded by woodland, has numerous ditches and undulating greens. There is something to test most players.
