This course is a fantastic challenge and well worth the visit.
It is just outside the city and easy for my wife to also enjoy a day out with plenty in the City to keep her happy.
The catering was first class and would recommend this as a must play golf course

This 1927 Harry Colt designed course is very much like Wentworth, which Harry Colt also designed. The first hole is a stern uphill challenge, and at over 460 Yards you are looking at a long drive up the right hand side and -3-4-iron approach on to a very small undulating green. The par 3 second is a fantastic hole that requires a precise 6-7 iron depending on the pin position, any thing left or long here your staring a double bogey in the face. The six is another striking par 4 where you tee off from a highly elevated tee down to a sloping dogleg left fairway. The par fives are reachable in two if you can land your drive in the right position to attack the green. The tenth, eleventh and twelfth holes are spectacular; you would think you are actually playing Wentworth here. Over all, a fantastic place to play golf and a warm welcome at the club. I played this course in the depths of winter, and it was still outstanding although very hilly, every hole here, is a pleasure to play, definitely worth the drive to Canterbury.

An absolute gem of a course that I would highly recommend to anybody who loves good golf courses. The first is the toughest hole on the course at over 450 yards with a small green. The second is a brilliant par 3 followed by a succession of delightful par 4's. The 10th is a long par 4 where laying up short of a ditch at about 240 yards is the only thing to do. This leaves a shot of about 190 yards to a severely sloping green. The 11th is a beautiful par 3 surrounded by trees and was my favourite hole. The 17th is also a superb par 3 where hitting the green or being just short of the green are the only options. Generally the fairways were quite wide but anything too wide will find the Bundai. The course was in pretty good condition but the only gripe I had was that the grass on the fairways had not been mown for some time. Go there and enjoy it.
