Opend in 1992, Castle Barna Golf Club has 500 members. The course is built on the very best of mature parkland with natural streams flowing through, and an abundance of wildlife. The first green is built inside the foundation walls of the castle which was plundered more than 300 years ago.

There is a fabulous 300 year old stone building that has been restored to provide bar and coffee shop.

N6 Dublin to Galway. Turn south at Tyrell's Pass. Travel 10km and you are here.

    A challenging track - break 36 points is always difficult to do. Best hole is the 18th - unfortunately not Index 1 although it should be!
