What a superb little track this is....it must be the shortest course in England and probably the toughest. It only has 6 holes but each one proves to be a true test of golf. The 2nd (and 8th and 14th) is really tough, blind over trees to the green from an elevated tee with OOB some 5 yards behind the green, and a water hazard running much of the length of the hole to the right.
What I found really challenging was that most of the greens are elevated, so if you didn't make the ultra small greens from the tee you were left with a very delicate chip to stand a chance of making par.
I was informed by the member I played with that after 98 years the course record still stood at par ....and that had only been achieved by 6 players, after completing the round I can understand why ! If you want a really challenging round of golf that is completely different try this course. Cheers,
