Standing on the first tee this course looks easy, no big trees! But you soon learn that sand and water can impact your score just as much as trees. Many of the greens are protected by a 'necklace' of sand so chipping and position of the ball off the tee is important. The fairways and green are in good condition throughout the year.
Friendly clubhouse with a good selection of food and drinks

This is a very interesting layout. It is a cross between a links with undulating fairways and wide open spaces exposed to the wind, and an American style course with plenty of sand and water (the 7th has 13 bunkers). You most often find that you are required to fly the ball to the green so strategy with tee shots and second shots on the longer
holes is quite important. Although played this month (February) the greens were true and even paced and the fairways were in very good condition especially considering the wet weather.
A pleasant clubhouse with good food and a very well stocked pro shop made this a good days golf. I played as a guest with a member for a reasonable priced where as the visitors fee is I believe more dear.
