Great greens and some very interesting holes. First Hole appears easy until you try to land the ball on the green. Wow. Fast. Our society has visited a lot of courses over the last number of years and most members say that Castlebar is the best course visited. Also very friendly members and office staff. Well done Castlebar!

The course was redesigned in 2000/2001 and now boasts 18 USGA standard greens. With an overall length of 5902 metres the par for the course os 71 and it is a very challenging course.

Played in July 2001. This was supposed to be our warm-up for the more well known Mayo courses. Castlebar has the some of the best greens I've played on in the UK, SA or Ireland and was also extremely welcoming and obliging.

Played this golf course in June 2001.The most friendly welcome I can remember from any golf club. The greens reminded me of Loch Lomond. Feature hole, par 3, 16th. And the price was only about 15 GBP. Let me back, please.
