A tiny course with expensive green fees it has no right charging - £27 for 18 holes. The greens are bordering on unputtable - holes all over them, weeds growing through, long grass and so slow (on a firm dry day) a putter was usually not enough club. Couple this with the lengthy waiting times between shots due to a poor course lay out, patchy tee areas - all in all a highly avoidable experience. My group, along with others behind and ahead of us left after 9 holes, despite paying for 18.
    A definite miss.

Ok not the greatest there is, but is challenging. Accuracy matters here with fairways being fairly narrow. I love the ninth hole, hit ball too hard and its gone beyond hole, hit short and your in the lake.
Very friendly club, worth a visit.

I have played this course a number of times and it is a good course for the beginner/intermediate. It has all the features and facilities of a members 18 hole.
My only tip is to be patient on the course as it gets very busy in the summer and tailbacks occur.
worth a visit if you live in SW London and are keen to learn or sharpen your skills.

I remember this plot when it was still the grounds of the adjoining Victorian Psychiatric Hospital. In between studying I would take time out to hit balls over the high trees (before the days of lob wedges made the task less of a challenge) and across the sports field. I would even imagine a layout for a few holes.
The advertisements speak of 'superb greens' (AA guide to Golf Courses 1998). I had previously visited the 'driving range' last year. This was the first disappointment. It is the length of a nicely struck pitching wedge but you will not hit a wedge that far because netting on 5 of the 6 planes surrounds the range, the 6th surface is the earth! Even drives hit the roof before landing and it is therefore difficult to judge how well you hit the shot, not really conducive to improvement.

A course where they have made the best of the limited space available. Good for 9 holes in central London, but not the best course you will ever play - crowded in Summer and waterlogged in Winter.
