I have played the course a number of times and it has grown on me. It looks deceptively easy, but low scoring should not be taken for granted. There is an interesting contrast between the front and back nines - the former tending towards shorter, tighter holes requiring precision - the latter more open and requiring length off the tee. Among the best holes, the third requires a blind tee shot which must carry approximately 190 yards to clear a stream. The ninth similarly calls for length and accuracy off the tee to clear a stream, to set you up for a long second uphill to the green. Both holes have tricky lay-up options. The 17th and 18th are both long holes which mean there's no let-up and the latter finishes under the watchful gaze of the clubhouse, which concentrates the mind nicely. Greens are pretty good and relatively consistent - a couple on the back nine are inverted saucers and really tough to hold and read.. All-in-all, a well looked after course - staff and general atmosphere pretty laid back. Give it a go.
