Cleobury Mortimer' 27 holes comprise three very different loops of nine, Deer Park 3167 yards par 35, plays around some ancient oak trees many greens have danger behind. The 8th, a beautiful par 3 over water, makes an interesting challenge.

Badgers Sett runs alongside the ancient Wyre Forest very scenic with several left hand dog legs, the trickiest being the 400 yrd, par 4. The 8th hole described as one of the best par 4's in the midlands in a recent review. Badgers Sett is 3271 yards, par 36 .

The newest loop, Foxes Run, opens late in 1998. This niner has large undulating greens and some spectacular views over the rest of the course and surrounding countryside Foxes Run is 2960yds par 34 and finishes with an exciting par 4 dog leg right around water onto a large raised green.

The course is fantastic, having played Foxes Run and Deer Park it is clear to see why my colleagues have told me to come and play here. With tricky holes to match some birdie-able holes it's a course to suit all abilities. A big mentio must go to the 9th hole on Foxes Run which has to be one of the best holes in the Midlands area, with water each side of the fairway and to the right hand side of the green this can lead to a birdie/ par chance or if not positioned correctly a 6. 7 or even an 8! Excellent facilities and friendly staff, already looking forward to my next visit.

I played this course in a four ball in October 2003. A very interesting set of 27 holes that need careful thought to get round with a good score. The course still needs to settle down and should be an excellent course in about 5 years time, it is a good course and will get better.

Ø Today I added this club to the list of course that I have played. It is well
worth playing and I found it a real test of my game. We played the Badger's
Sett 9 on the way out and the on the majority of tees we were driving blind
as the holes were so cleverly laid out. It is a course that definately
punishes the wayward drive and even the par 3 holes were a real test of
accuracy. On the way back we played the Deer Park and again the holes gave
food for thought, the par 3 *th certainly was a test of ability with a large
pool in the front of the green and a steep bank running away on the right
hand side. Bunkers were well positioned and some of them were so sttep that
you would certainly pity the golfer who stayed into this territory. Overall an excellent course and one that I certainly intend to play again.
