it is a great course. im a local visitor to it and i love it every time i play. it is a hard course but i love a challenge. bring a lot of spare golf balls as the fairways are narrow.

I have to say though, rang up about student membership and it is €300 which is very expensive in relation to other golf courses.

Clonlara golf course, is well suitated for anyone in Limerick City or south side of county clare. The people there are very kind and helpful. I always go out of a saturday for a wuick round with the lads and i find it very enjoyable. The course is probably better suited to beginners rather than people of a low handicap but still is quiet enjoyable for all, i would definately recommand it for a visit, espically now that the weather is good..

I'm a member of clonlara and it is a very challenging course. No big greens to hit and accuracy off the tee is vital. Take my advise, try it, it's well worth a visit

Indeed Clonlara is a nice course. It is new and in places feels like a new course. Pity it is only 15 holes but I'm not sure if they have space for 18 and to cram in another 3 holes would destroy the course (like Adare Manor in Limerick). The clubhouse seems to be mainly a pub but there appears to be lots of scope to develop. When I played it I found it very enjoyable as I am a beginner. HOWEVER I wonder how challenging a more experienced player would find it. Some holes could do with more traps to keep the mind occupied. But again the green fees are VERY reasonable and membership at the time was about the cheapest in the area. A little tweaking of a couple of holes and value for money makes this a good course for someone looking for a club to join.

Mr keary, is known to me, and plays off a handicap of 22. This fellow would be lucky to hit a barn door with a shovel. To say he had a bad round is a joke, as he probably ran out of balls after 6 holes and had to go home.
Clonlara on the other hand is no joke, but a nice little course. Having obtained the services of a local greenkeeper in recent times, the greens at clonlara are close to the best in the region. Dont read the first comment, read mine. This place is well worth a visit.
    Mr Keary I'm watching you

Not really a golf course as such.Bit of a joke really, have seen bigger pitch and putt courses.Take my advice,Best avoided, even the locals seemed a bit unsavoury-in a deliverance type way. When I played there the greens looked like a herd of syphillitic cattle had stampeded through there.Do yourself a favour and avoid.
