A mature parkland layout original designed by Harry Vardon and later amended by H.S.Colt. Condition is of a consistently high standard with 100 bunkers making the 6500 yards more challenging than they are on paper. The course has held several tour events in the past and is currently home to the Peter McEvoy Trophy (Last year won by Justin Rose) and The British Open Regional Qualifier.

18 hole, medium sized course with a difficult opening 3 holes. The first is a long straight par 4, normally into the wind with sand traps either side of the green, if this doesnt catch you then driving off on the second may. Many golfer slice their shot into OOB. I prefer the front 9, however the back 9 also has some marvellous holes, a very difficult 12th, followed by the water hole, an easy par 4, than a long par 5, with a very difficult dog leg left 16th. Course is very well kept, members are friendly, and the recently refurbished clubhouse provides members and their guests with quality dining areas and an excellent stud bar. Two snooker tables, a bowling green and a well stocked pro shop make this one of the nicest courses in the Midlands.
