I have played this venue (both tracks) on several occasions. It has a good clubhouse as the the course design leans towards the Amercian rather than the typically British. There is water. There is up hill. There is down hill. There are bunkers. Excellent venue for societies. Reasonably priced.

Cotgrave place now has a full 36 hole complex split into the Masters and Open courses. I have played all the links and would definitely recommend either course to anyone with a sub-20 handicap.
The Open course (the old A and B nines) is very tough with the front nine having plenty of water and other hazards - not for the faint-hearted! The Masters course (C and D nines) begins with an easy front nine which lulls you into the newly opened back nine. A very sculptured course, it's not really mature enough yet to be a classic but, given a few years, I'm sure that this final glitch will have been overcome.
Non-members can book and pay between **a very reasonable price** per round. Standard dress code applies. Not the easiest club to find, but certainly worth a look.
