Craigshead, while being younger and not so popular is the superior course in my mind. It is not easy and could very well host an European tour event. High rough on both sides of every fairway, heavy bunkering of fairways and greens as well as very undulated and elevated greens makes this a very difficult course. For being in operation only three years it is in surprisingly good condition. And my god, the views from the course out over the sea. Magnificent, and preferable to Balcomie in by book as it is a sterner test of your golfing ability
