Course Details

Course Name: Crichton Holes: 9 Yardage: 3084 SSS: 69
The 'new' course combines original hedgerow boundaries and a few mature trees(perfectly situated)with plantations of conifers and other small trees which over the last twenty years have matured to give the course it's lush, green appearance, with the apple trees bordering the 7th and 8th fairways adding a bit of taste to the proceedings!

7th 480/5 from yellow,455/4 from white. Most difficult hole on course, driving up a tree-lined avenue over the brow of a hill, however room on other side for those who can avoid hazards including the two large trees, one on either side at critical positions. Second shot is played between two rows of conifers approaching the green, landing in either wood could spell the end of a decent round of golf!!!
8th par3/195yds from yellow or 253/par4 from white. Out of bounds on right('hospital ball')or landing in conifers on same side are only real hazards, apart from fair smattering of bunkers around green (Slicers, listen for the sound of breaking glass in the hospital car park whilst simultaneously checking your insurance policies, but take heart from the fact that the casualty department is only 200yds away and may reduce any charges to mere attempted murder)!!
The 183w or 127y 9th is ok except again for the poor slicer who may be out of bounds and anyone who breaks the clubhouse window has to stand a round of drinks(as well as pay for the window).
Final comments, all the greens slope to the road, with breaks bigger than Augusta, which really makes for a lot of fun!!! If you have a good first nine, congratulations, just go out and do it again!
