I played there in a handicap match yesterday, I thought the layout was shocking, I think they found a hill and put a golf course on it. The course has only 9 holes, but 18 tees. I felt the layout was very confusing with 4 different tee blocks on a single tee . (edited by webmaster)

I am very surprised at Pauls comments - I guess he lost his match!! This is a challenging nine hole course with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. The only place the tees are confusing is one the 7th/5th holes but if you look at the markers it is clear which ones to use.

Although not the longest of courses, Daventry & District is one of the most challenging. Precision drives and careful placement of approach shots is required to ensure a good score. This is a great course for those players wishing to hit every shape of shot and club in their bag. Anyone playing to their handicap has done well. The views are stunning and the club is friendly and welcoming to all.
