Probably one of the best courses in the Doncaster area, don't let the yardage fool you. Excellent manicured fairways and greens, tight to the to the last hole. A pleasure to play.

Very good parkland course with fast, tricky greens and fairways in excellent condition. The course is harder than the yardage and par suggests and is a good test to both high and low handicappers. Very friendly clubhouse and pro shop, especially Jane and Trevor behind the bar. The cook serves very nice food at very low prices and is in most of the day. Town Moor is a very good course and is worth playing as the green fee is not very expensive.

I had the real pleasure of playing a team match at Town Moor in June. You are first struck by the clubhouse which is sited right next to Doncaster Rovers' Belle Vue ground. To reach the first tee the golfer crosses the dual carriageway heading across to the course which is situated on the Town Moor in the middle of Doncaster Racecourse.
Once there the golfer is treated to a superb moorland layout with fine, fast greens and fairways in excellent condition. The course features some superb long holes, with some carries, that are affected by the wind and present a real challenge. However on most occasions the course offers the chance to open the shoulders as for the most part the rough is not too penal. All in all definitely one to play and complemented by the warm reception in the clubhouse from the members and staff.
