I played Donegal Golf Club for the first time around ten years ago. My friends and I enjoyed the course so much it became the start of an annual pilgremage. The staff and members add to the experience with their laid back friedliness.

I played Donegal in July 1997. The course was in great condition and I enjoyed every hole. Played with a scottish bloke who`d played there years before and he`d been looking forward to playing Donegal again. OK its no Ballybunion or Waterville but its fantastic value for money. Next time I travel to Ireland from `down under` I will definetly go back to Donegal.Graeme Edwards (Aust)

I Played Donegal for the first time in October 2000. Being a member of a parkland I wanted to play some winter Links golf and avoid some of the mud. Murvagh (Donegal) turned out to be a great retreat. The course was in super condition, especially for this time of the year. The course isn't quite up to the likes of Ballyliffen but it does give you a chance to score. Of particular note has to be the Par 3 5th ...just short of 200 yards and its all carry ...as good hole as you'll find the world over. Worth a visit.

I played the course and 12 others in the west of Ireland in May of 1999. Although it could be a great course, Donegal's condition was the worst of the 13. The fairways were full of un-repaired divots. (I am not one of those Americans who expects to see American conditions everywhere, but this was very disappointing. In contrast I loved Enniscrone and Rosses Point along with Tralee, Lahinch, Waterville etc.) I hope to get back to Ireland, but I won't go out of my way to play Donegal again.
