You betcha Phil. Whenever I'm up in Lancashire I always find time to play the very underrated Duxbury Park. OK, it may not not be the longest course in the world but hey its still kinda tough.

I played Duxbury throughout the long hot summer of 2003 and the long wet winter. It is a pleasure to play in all weathers with the challenges changing with the conditions and the seasons.
The 428 yard 6th offers a test of the best across water and through tees whilst the 8th invites the long hitter from its elevated tee.
Back across eleveated water for the 10th requires two good shots to the green but by far the most challenging hole has to be the 12th - A stunning hole.
Your tee shot must finish next to the marker as the contours take any stray balls away on every side. This still leaves 160yds over water and across a valley. One of the finest holes in the North West.
And finally the sting in the tail - the 17th. A 387 yard par 4 where only the longest straightest drive gets you past the corner of the woods as the fairway rolls from side to side and goes uphill. Two shots for low handicappers and three or more for the rest of us.
A fabulous course with great scenery and views.

I make sure I play Duxbury every time I get to England. Having just got back from a months vacation there, I once again had the distinct pleasure of playing it again, and on a fine day too ! It's an excellent course, love it, and the cost...hey £7 for a senior, can't beat that.

I have played Duxbury Park about 5 times and have enjoyed playing it every time, the course is well maintained and is even better to play than some of the members courses throughout the north west, I have recommended it to friends and they have the same opinion. Thanks and keep up the good golfing at Duxbury.

I played on Duxbury about 15 times in the summer holidays and it's a great course. If I were you I would get down there and have a round and it's a fiver for kids (18 holes) and £10:75 for adults. It's a par 72 for mens and a par 74 for the ladies. The 6th and the 12th are the best holes on the course and the 9th is a little par 3.

We must concur with other comments on this course, my son and I played it on Tuesday 22nd August 2000 and found it to be one of the most stimulating, challenging courses in it's class. It is well maintained and the needs of all golfers are fully met. So for a challenging, demanding course in this area then choose Duxbury Park, you'll also be delighted with the cost and both facilities and friendly fellow players.

At 6,390 yards with water in play on 7 holes, mature trees all around, devious bunkering and a wicked 12th hole, this must be one of the best municipals in Lancashire, nay, the country.
