The Dyke Golf Club is an excellent test of golf. Essentially, the course is made up of two loops of nine holes, which are thoughtfully laid out. The biggest environmental factor of the course is the wind. As the holes are situated on the top of the South Downs, the wind can play a huge part in your ability to score well. I have hit the par 3 fifth with very club between driver and 7 iron dependent on the direction and strength of the breeze!
This is a really nice course with a good clubhouse and beautiful views. Well worth a visit especially in summer, although beware the second cut of rough from May onwards - if you are in it, your ball is lost.

Still can't believe that this course seems to have 18 holes which appear to all play into the wind - very enjoyable and some great views for all that.
