Apart from slow play at times from groups who are learning to play golf(like all of us at one stage)this is golf course which can be very challenging, excellent greens & fairways and at a price the we all can afford

I play at Earlswood and you can get very large queues at the weekend so large that you have to wait hrs, even wore if some society has booked the tee... then when you do get away the are several frequent queuing holes

If you are a high handicapper like myself make sure that you take loads of spare balls with you when you play Earlswood.
There are very few holes where you can see the green from the tee and apart from playing over water trap and across ravines, some of the rough is very unforgiving - once your ball goes off the main fairway (which, in fairness are usually quite wide) it's gone forever!

I have played Earlswood a lot of times, it has got some of the best draining soil in the world 'probably', cracking course that will test anyone. Highly recommended.

I am a member of Gower golf club in Three crosses. I now play off 14. When I first started playing golf, Earlswood was where I learnt how to play.
Although it's a reasonably short course, don't let this fool you. Water, gorse and O.O.B will frustrate you if you're not straight on the 9th. The gorse lines many of the fairways.
But for me, by far the best hole is the 14th, where your tee shot must carry 150yds over a ravine with water at the bottom. Then the small green (their all small!) is thwarted with danger on the left hand side. They used to charge just £8 and I don't think the price has increased! For this, you would expect a pitch and putt sort of course but you'd be wrong you'll enjoy one of the best courses in South Wales. Highly recommended.

I am a junior member of the Swansea Bay Golf club which is also owned and run by the same people who own Earlswood. I play of 6 and this is the first course I played 18 holes on, and what a challenge that was! There are some fantastic views of the bay and Swansea Bay Golf course which is below it. Among the many different holes there I would like to pick out a few of the best starting with the 9th. The 9th is a huge par 4 that very few people will hit in 2 shots. After driving across a pond and up a hill avoiding the thick gorse on the left you turn 90 degrees and then play across another water hazard in the middle of the fairway to a raised green. There are many interesting and testing holes on the back nine but I would like to pick out 16 for its sheer individuality. This par 3 is 140yds long but you have a drop of around 80 ft and more to the green far below. A small tree in front of the green impairs your view slightly but this is one of the best around. If you are ever in the area make an effort to see and play Earlswood GC and Swansea Bay Golf Club.
