East Berkshire golf club is a pretty course and a pleasure to walk. It has 7 par 4's of over 400 yards, which is a clear indication of the challenges you will face. That said, it represents a fair test for golfers of all abilities.
With some recent bunker refurbishment work completed on the 6th, 13 and 17th holes the course continues to improve strategically. The clubs web site gives some nice images of the improved holes. (www.eastberkshiregolfclub.com)
The course is over 100 years old and manages to maintain a nice heathland feel to it even though it is tree lined on a majority of the holes. You will also need to carry heather from the tee on a number of holes, very much like other clubs in the area such as the Berkshire and Sunningdale.
If you try it, you will not be disappointed.

A traditional heather course which starts with a couple of easy holes. However, be lulled into a false sense of security at your peril! Particularly memorable are the Par 4 10th and the long Par 3 13th. Only 1 Par 5 but this barely seems to matter because the course is so nice.
