Probably the most beautiful course I have played anywhere in the world. The first 3 and last 2 holes have breathtaking views over Brighton and the English Channel, whilst most of the rest of the course blends into the South Downs and surrounding farmland, though the 12th hole runs alongside Brighton race course.
The holes have engaging names, such as Ovingdean Hollow, Redhill Down, and Channel View. The chalk soil means that the course is usually dry and well-presented.
Some highlights - The Par 5, fifth, although around 535 yards long is greenable in 2, due to the vertical drop on the hole of around 200 feet. However, Kestrel's Haunt, 420 yard uphill par 4 requires a good drive and precise long iron in order to avoid the Van Gogh like cornfield next door.
It is a special place and worth the walk even if you're not a golfer!

Long. Very long! The day I played a North wind made the uphill holes into par 7's. That said nice neat course without many trees giving the mid-handicapper every chance of making par despite the length.

A super course maintained by a courteous and friendly staff. The course rarely if ever closes unlike some other courses in the county which quickly become waterlogged. The greens are always in excellent condition and there can be few better stretches of golf than the downhill par five fifth, the stretch along the valley to the sixth and then the dog leg eighth and long stroke index one ninth.
To play the 13th well gives enormous satisfaction. This course must rate amongst the best in the south and deserves support. There is always a warm welcome and catering facilities are excellent.

East Brighton is a superbly run and maintained golf course, very open and a little bit hilly!., Whenever I've played, there always seems to be the green keepers tending to and looking after the course.
Dotted around the course are bomb craters from the second world war which come into play when playing several holes, they are enormously deep and if you land in one you'll be very lucky to get out in one or two.
The pro shop is well stocked although a little small and all the staff are pleasant.
All in all a good course to play and very enjoyable.
