East Herts in Hammels park is a superb golf course, a lovely wooded layout with some very tough holes and deceptively long rough, a few water hazards come into play on both nines. The course is well-established always in good condition especially the true greens and is a good test for all standards of golfer. My favourite holes are the dogleg 2nd the 15th par 5 and the 18th a lovely down hill par 3 overlooked by the balcony of the clubhouse. I play this course every year on a society day and is always the first venue to be booked, a real must play course.
