No matter your handicap, this course is something of a test for anyone. Lots of water and well protected greens and placed fairway bunkers, mean you have to think before you hit on almost every shot or your scorecard will reflect the damage. Having been open now for eight years the young trees have filled out to be real hazards and the distinctive rough between previously open fairways mean the spray shot is punished. Many of the holes are feature type holes, but my personal favourites are the dog leg right 4th, and the picture perfect 13th,16th and 18th. A joy to play for the members, with only a modest amount of society and green fee traffic. Not a course for the once a year golfer unless you have time to kill and you have golf balls to lose. apeterkin@deloitte.co.uk

Good challenging golf course with fast greens and plenty of hazards in the form of water and heavy bunkering. Best holes are short par 4 11th, par 5 twelth with great second shot over lake (only for brave) and signature 18th where a good second shot is requred. Only downside to very enjoyable round was the motorway noise.

Marvelous parkland course that rates as one of the best that you can simply 'pay and play'. The greens are particularly good, with those on the 2nd, 3rd and 10th proving a test for even the most gifted golfer.
It is situated in Epping Forest itself, which means that the woodland is very mature
and as a result many of the holes are tight and challenging. The par 4 4th Hole was
my favorite closely followed by 17th, whilst from the 12th there are some stunning
views over the City and Docklands.
