Was invited to play this track by a member. Good venue. Great clubhouse especially sitting on verander above final green. Classic. Highly recommended.

I have played Fairhaven quite recently last September (03) and it is easy to see why the course is on the Open Qualifing rota. The greens were superb, and the fairways were excellent also.

Fairhaven is an extremely challenging, but fair golf course. It has always been famed for its excellent summer condition, and with the par 5s it's easy to see why the course record is 10 under par. Being an open qualifying course, it always attracts much attention, and you will find it busy in the summer months. However with a very accomodating member section and a steward and stewardess who have been at the club 30 years, it is easy to see why it is renound as one of the best golf clubs in the land.

I have played the course on numerous occasions and it is one of the most testing but fair courses anybody could imagine. It is always in immaculate condition with fast greens and numerous hazards. With six par fives it is long yet visually beautiful with stunning views. The club house is a wonderful old building. The course is almost Augusta like in May when the Rhododendrons are in full bloom.
