What a great surprise to find this nice 9 hole (18 tee) course hidden away behind Ferndowns more renowned Old course.
It benefits from being part of the Ferndown setup and has superb greens, tees and fairways and feels much like the old course. A small stream wanders through the layout and whilst not in play very often will catch the unwary.
Notable holes include the 2nd a fine par 3 from an elevated tee to a small well protected green with the stream in front, 4th dogleg Par 5 and 8th another fine Par 5. As with many of the heathland courses in the area catch it in full blown and it's awash with colour.
Cheap to play especially after 4.00 pm and normally very quiet as not many people use it. Ideal for the intermediate player.
