Played this course on a very breezy day and what a joy it was and what great value. The greens were in fantastic condition as was the rest of the course. We played several courses in the region and this was definitely the best of the bunch. You have no idea how enjoyable the course will be when you stand on the first tee since the first is a dead flat par 4 of 400 yards. Once you go up and over Corbie Hill you move into true golfing country with some great par 3's and a couple of the best and toughest par 4's I have ever played. If you are in the region I would highly recommend a visit (Even if it is windy).

Corbie Hill is invariably a good test of golf. I can speak having played it from the age of 5, in 1962 right throught until the present day. The course is generally undulating with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th holes played round the prominent Corbie Hill.
In recent years the quality of the course has been above average, mainly thanks to the the irrigation system installed in the 1970's, but it's the weather in the end that will determine whether you can achieve a good score, with your chances decreasing as the wind moves to blow from a more southerly direction.
From a personal note the 4 best holes are no longer part of the main course, but form part of the new 9 hole course directly in front of the club house. Known locally as the 'last four' they used to provide a very stiff golfing test in any competition, especially as the 15th tee was less than 10 yards from the front of the club house. In days gone by it was not unusual to see crowds of 30+ follow a interesting conclusion to a local competition. Pressure indeed for the players! . Many a game 'won' on the 14th was lost
    by the 18th!
The course is still a very good play, and without doubt the visitor will get a friendly welcome after his/her game in the club house. Don't miss it!

Fraserburgh is a great golf course to play at. I have played there all my life and will carrying on doing so. I would suggest this course to any enthusiastic golfer or beginner. The facilities are great and the clubhouse is in good condition. If I had to give this course a review it would definitely give it a 9/10.
