Myself and a few freinds were traveling round scotland last year playing courses in most town where we stayed. We stopped in oban on our way to play in campbeltown and decided to, play glencruitten. From looking at the scorecard the course seems to be a joke at 4200 yards and 61 par but don't be fooled. This was one of the toughest and most enjoyable rounds of golf i've ever played. I used every club in the bag and played almost every shot imaginable. Driveable par 4's and an unreachable par three 11th of the white's, magic. If your in oban give it a try, you won't be disappointed but take lots of balls.

While visiting Scotland last August my Father-in law and I were able to play Glencruitten one rainy day. What a joy it was! This is a fantastic mid-size course. I was amazed that almost every hole on the course had either an elevated tee block or an elevated green, and when I say elevated I mean anywhere from 30' - 60' elevation. You will definitely get your exercise walking around this hilly course. I recommend it to all fans of the game.
